Telling it like it is?

Why don't the editorials of The Record of Woodland Park put Governor Christie into perspective, as a reader from Wayne did in a letter this week? Here is the letter:

"I don't understand why New Jersey taxpayers seem so excited about Governor Christie.

"Since he has been in office the large majority of people have seen their tax bills rise — unless you are one of the fortunate taxpayers who earn more than $400,000 a year, in which case you got a nice tax break.

"New Jerseyans should understand that the governor is nothing better than a lackey for the wealthy and, on a slightly smaller scale, the national Republican Party. He is a man looking to move up in that party and seek the help of the wealthy.

"Just look at what he is doing to education. If he has it his way, he will privatize all of public education and make it into another money-making venture for the wealthy.

"The governor has repeatedly stated how this state doesn't have a revenue problem, it has a spending problem. It seems like we can't afford anything. We can't afford transportation projects, education, health care, police, fire, college aid, student lunch programs, rebates to seniors, environmental projects, libraries or hospitals.

"Amazingly, the two things we could afford are making sure the wealthiest percentage of New Jerseyans could have a little more money in their pocket and, apparently, a box suite at the New Meadowlands Stadium.

"Seems to me like we could use a little more revenue."

Instead of giving this insight, the editors pleasure the governor with journalistic blow jobs  -- in editorials and columns. Don't they realize readers are on to their game, which is not to upset their ultimate bosses, the Borgs, and other wealthy residents?
