The Record  of Woodland Park is offering a 6-month subscription for only $20, but you'd get the newspaper only 4 days a week -- Thursday through Sunday.

As of today, only 168 abbreviated subscriptions have been purchased from LivingSocial, a Web site that offers dining, travel, shopping and other deals.

Here is the scoop. taken from the Web site:

Your nosy neighbor -- while both knowledg[e]able and astute -- is not the best place for you to get your daily news. Seek a digital or print subscription to The Record for award-winning coverage, instead:
• $20 (regularly $88) for 26-week print subscription (Thursday through Sunday only) • $25 (regularly $60) for 26-week digital subscription
• Available in Bergen, Passaic, and parts of Morris, Essex, and Hudson counties
• Read up on happenings in sports, food, and travel; also features coupons and deals from local retailers
• Boasts second-largest circulation in the state

Want more? Check out The Record on Facebook.

The LivingSocial Web site misspells "knowledgeable" -- mimicking the typos and errors in the newspaper it is hawking.
