The courthouse in Hackensack is called the "best Neo-Classical-style edifice in New Jersey."

The official City of Hackensack Web site is offering a virtual historic tour of Main Street's buildings, as reported in The County Seat, the Zisa family's weekly publication.

The building at 295 Main St. -- put up in the 1920s -- is a former home of The Bergen Evening Record.

The tour starts at the Bergen County Courthouse, 10 Main St., and moves north, but the photos with the pop-ups are too small to appreciate architectural details in original structures.
