MAHWAH — A manhunt was under way Monday night for two men — one of whom could have a gunshot wound — who assaulted a caretaker in his cabin at Camp Yaw Paw, authorities said.

One of the intruders may have been wounded by the caretaker, who fired at them as they fled.

ONLY ON CLIFFVIEW PILOT: Investigators found no shell casings, no blood nor any other signs of a shooting that a caretaker at Camp Yaw Paw said occurred when he was purportedly accosted by two men, sources close to the investigation told CLIFFVIEW PILOT tonight.

"His story changed three times. There were no spent rounds found anywhere. There was no indication that anybody was hit," a high-ranking law enforcement source told CLIFFVIEW PILOT tonight.

"There is no manhunt," he added, contradicting a local newspaper's online report.
